‘Raalhu Gudi Kite Fest 2018’, a kite boarding festival, was held yesterday in Hulhumalé Phase II. The event was organized by Slowtape and Maafushi Dive Center, with Housing Development Corporation as the Associate Partner.

This event was attended by the famous Youri Zoon, a two-time winner of the world kite boarding championship.

The day commenced with a tour around Hulhumalé with Youri Zoon, who had then provided a briefing to the participants of the event. Kite lessons were then provided to members of HDC and Police Club, followed by kite boarding with Youri Zoon. 26 participants of the ceremony were awarded certificates upon completion and a kite boarding show was then opened for the public.

This year’s Raalhu Gudi Fest was the third of its kind, where the initial festival was held in 2016, bringing together kite boarding enthusiasts residing in and visiting Maldives.
