Hulhumalé won the Masterplan (future) Project Awards at the City Scape Awards for Emerging Markets during the 15th edition of the awards which took place in the Intercontinental Festival, Dubai from 2nd to 4th October.

Housing Development Corporation as the master developer of the city, believes that Hulhumalé being declared a winner at Cityscape Awards 2018, is of great significance to the employees of the organization, the island city and the nation as a whole. Hence, team HDC today celebrated this momentous occasion early this morning at HDC head office.

Hulhumalé was presented to the judges by HDC’s Director of Planning and Urban Development Mr. Ismail Shan Rasheed and Professor Heng Chye Kiang, Hulhumalé’ Masterplan consultant. Furthermore, the HDC team included Director of Business Development, Sales and Marketing Ms. Nashwa Abdulla and staff from marketing and planning department.

The 15th annual Cityscape Awards for Emerging Markets celebrates excellence in real estate development and architecture. Covering a range of categories, the awards offer international architects and leading real estate developers a prestigious platform to collaborate and share their vision for the future, from culturally integrated city skylines to sustainable urban communities. Hulhumalé was acknowledged as a masterplan that brings hope and transformative times for the Maldives and the future of our people at this prestigious awards.
