On 10th January 2015, the dredger “Leiv Eiriksson” arrived in the Maldives to carryout the dredging and reclamation work of Hulhumalé Phase II. The dredger is anchored in the Hulhumalé area and will commence work once the customs formalities are completed. The Hulhumalé Phase II Dredging and Reclamation project has been awarded to Dredging International.

The official inauguration ceremony of Hulhumalé Phase II is scheduled to be held on the 15th of January 2015 (Thursday).
