Introducing Kuda Gotheh!

Introducing Kuda Gotheh, our brand-new cooking show exclusively for Ramadan. This fun and engaging program is aimed at highlighting the culinary talents within our corporation, providing a personal and relatable glimpse into the lives of our talented chefs.  

  

Ramadan is a month of cultural and religious significance, where food is a universal love language, bringing people together to show gratitude for the blessings of life. 

  

Tune in this Ramadan for an exciting look at our show, featuring different participants over four episodes! Through showcasing their love and passion for food, we hope to create a sense of familiarity and togetherness. 

  

The first episode features the delicious Tunisian dish, Shakshouka. Join Mal and Ihu as they add their unique twist to this mouth-watering recipe. With just a few simple ingredients and less than 20 minutes, you can enjoy a scrumptious meal that’s perfect for an iftar during a busy day. Don’t miss out on this easy and flavorful dish that’s sure to become a family favourite!

 

Recipe: 

Ingredients List: 

– 1 onion 

– 4 cloves garlic 

– 1-inch piece ginger 

– Ginger paste (to taste) 

– 1 capsicum 

– 1 red bell pepper 

– 1 tbsp cayenne pepper 

– 1/2 tbsp pepper 

– 1/2 tbsp cumin 

– 1 can of peeled tomato 

– fresh coriander leaves 

– 5 eggs 

– Shredded cheese 

– Dried herbs 

– 1 can of tuna  

  

Instructions: 

  • Dice the onions, capsicum, and bell pepper. 
  • Crush the garlic and ginger. 
  • Cut the sausages into cubes. 
  • Mash the peeled tomato. 
  • Chop the coriander leaves. 

 

To prepare the sauce: 

  • Heat oil in a pan. 
  • Sauté the onion, garlic, and ginger together. 
  • Add in the bell pepper and capsicum and sauté until the onions are translucent. 
  • Add the tuna. 
  • Add the mashed peeled tomato. 

  

To spice up the sauce: 

  • Add salt, cumin powder, cayenne pepper, and pepper. 

 

To cook the eggs: 

  • Once the oil starts to come above the sauce, add in the eggs one by one. 
  • Cover the pan and steam the eggs until they are cooked. 
  • Once the eggs are steamed well, add in the shredded cheese and fresh coriander.  
  • Cover and cook on the lowest heat for 5 to 10 minutes or until the cheese melts. 
  • Dust in the dried herbs.
