Housing Development Corporation, along with several partners, organized several activities in Hulhumalé to celebrate this year’s Eid Al-Fitr.

Eid celebrations commenced with the Eid prayer, on Friday in Central Park. The prayer, organized by HDC jointly with Al-Hijrah, were attended by several members of the Hulhumalé community.

The celebrations then continued in Hulhumalé Youth Park, where the traditional Fenkulhi (Water Sports Competition) was held, along with Tug of War competition. The evening Eid activities held last Friday also included a “Selfie Competition” where participants were required to take selfies at predetermined areas by the organizers. These activities were organized by Lyre, with Ooredoo Maldives as the main sponsor and Housing Development Corporation as the official partner.

Eid celebrations then continued the following Saturday night, with an Eid show where several local celebrities, such as Traphic Jam, Habeys Boduberu, Habeys Fusion and Levitation band had performed. Habeys Boduberu organized the show with Ooredoo Maldives as main sponsor and Housing Development Corporation as Gold partner.

These celebratory events under the hashtag #youreidinhulhumale, were enjoyed by a large number of individuals residing in and visiting Hulhumalé, and it is the hope of HDC to continue on celebrating such joyful events with the Hulhumalé community.
