Environment Minister Thoriq inaugurates Maldives Marine Expo 2016

Minister of Environment and Energy Mr Thoriq Ibrahim officially opened Maldives Marine Expo 2016 yesterday in Hulhumale’.
Addressing at the opening ceremony, Minister Thoriq highlighted the importance of this expo and stated that Maldives could become one of the best international platforms for such exhibitions.
Maldives Marine Expo will be held until 30th September, in the water front area of Hulhumale’, making this the second time for Housing Development Corporation to host this event. This year’s expo consists of 32 local and international exhibitors including those from USA, China, Egypt, India, Singapore and UAE. In addition to hosting the expo, HDC is also an official exhibitor of the event.
Maldives Marine Expo is the official exhibition of Liveaboard Association of Maldives (LAM), organised and managed by BLAK Pvt. Ltd. In conjunction with Tourism Day and Visit Maldives Year, this third edition of the expo focuses specially on marine tourism. As such, all the services, machinery and tools available in the marine industry will be showcased.
