Housing Development Corporation and Calix Services has officially launched Asia’s first 100% Gigabit enabled Smart City in Hulhumalé. The ceremony was held today in the Exhibition Centre of HDC Head Office.

With Calix Service’s partnership, this network will look at best practice to create a world class infrastructure to capitalize on Youth City vision of H.E.P Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom.

HDC believes that a Gigabit society will accelerate foreign investment with new innovative startups, global tech collaboration, IT parks, and global companies and hence, Hulhumalé will drive new economic diversification opportunities for Maldives.
