February 22, 2018 : 2:00 pm

Housing Development Corporation has initiated free-of-charge counselling services in Fahiveni Community Center located in Hulhumalé Neighbourhood 1 area.

Beginning from today, these services focus on the psychological and social issues that affect individuals of all age, gender, and social groups.

The counselling services will be provided by qualified and experienced counselors.

Clients will be assisted in resolving relationship issues, issues related to domestic violence and other forms of abuse, transition through separations, divorce and other family issues, dealing with anxiety or depression, substance abuse, and other social issues.

The services will be carried on with Client Confidentiality as a high priority.

In order to provide the best possible counselling services, Housing Development Corporation signed an agreement with Society for Health Education (SHE) this week. Under the agreement, SHE will provide support such as trainings to the counsellors working in Fahiveni Community Center.

Additional to the counselling services, HDC will also provide awareness sessions to the public regarding psychological and social issues.

HDC believes initiation of this service will be crucial to the currently increasing population of Hulhumalé.
