Housing Development Corporation organized an event specially for senior citizens yesterday, in partnership with several other institutions, with the aim of providing senior citizens a beneficial and enjoyable time with their families.

Held at Hulhumale’ Central Park, this event was officially opened by HDC’s Chairman Mr Fuad Gasim. During the opening ceremony, Mr Fuad highlighted the importance of the senior citizens population to the growth of the city.

This event took place with the contribution from Hulhumale’ Hospital, Aasanda, NSPA, State Trading Organization, Maldives Pension Administration Office, National Centre for the Arts, Maldives National Defence Force and Maldives Family Foundation.

Several activities targeted specially for the senior citizens was conducted during the event by our partners which included free health checkup, yoga, exercise and information sessions on healthy lifestyles. In addition, Olympians performed throughout the event. A special performance by MNDF drill squad also added colour to the event.
