Housing Development Corporation signed an agreement with a private party for the development and handover of a mosque in Hulhumalé Phase II.

This agreement was signed today, by HDC’s Director of Legal Affairs Dr. Fathimath Shiuny and Mr. Saud Yoosuf, a private philanthropist.

This mosque is expected to accommodate 650 people at a time. With the agreement that was signed today, HDC has now signed for the development of two mosques in Phase II.

Hulhumalé currently has 7 mosques in Phase I, out of which 4 has been developed and opened under the administration of His Excellency President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom. These mosques are developed in a way that each neighborhood has at least one mosque to accommodate the population living in the neighborhoods.
