Housing Development Corporation signed an agreement with Waste Management Corporation Limited of Maldives to develop and operate the waste yard in Hulhumalé.

The agreement was signed by Managing Director of HDC Mr Mohamed Saiman and Managing Director of WAMCO Mr Ibrahim Fuad at a ceremony held in HDC headquarters earlier today.

Under this agreement, WAMCO will develop a waste management master plan and a mechanism to best operate the waste in Hulhumalé. It is also planned to relocate the current waste yard to a more convenient location.
