HDC to undertake the development of Hulhulé – Hulhumalé link road.

Housing Development Corporation signed an agreement with Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure today, to undertake the development of Hulhulé – Hulhumalé link road. This agreement was signed by Managing Director of Housing Development Corporation Mohamed Saiman and Minister of Housing and Infrastructure Dr. Mohamed Muizzu at a ceremony held at the ministry.
This highway will be 3km in length and will be wide enough for all types of vehicles. The highway will have electricty, water and sewerage facilities.
The concept design of the highway is now complete. Work will be done to reclaim land and protect the shore to develop the highway in a safe and secure manner which will enable the management of the influx of traffic that will be on this link road.
The entire project will be funded and managed by HDC and is expected to be completed by April 2018.
