On 15^th April 2015 HEP Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom inaugurated the Greening event in Hulhumalé Phase II. Number of government officials, the Chairman and the Managing Director of Housing Development Corporation was present at the event of inauguration.

A total of 240 tree were planted at the event where 20 trees were planted government delegates and 400 trees were planted by school children and the public. This event was complemented by a youthful live band and an open BBQ for the public.
