On 27^th of July 2015, the Japanese Ambassador to the Maldives, H.E. Kenichi Sunganuma visited Hulhumalé. The Ambassador met the Managing Director of Housing Development Corporation, Mr. Mohamed Saiman and officials of the corporation.

A presentation was made to the Ambassador about Hulhumale’ and further development opportunities in Hulhumalé. This was held at Exhibition Center in HDC Building.

The visit was concluded upon a tour of Hulhumalé to further understand the existing developments undertaken.
