In a tree-planting event organized by Housing Development Corporation, 50 Youth delegates from India has  planted 80 trees in PhaseII of Hulhumale’ last evening, which was followed by a tour and evening tea. Prior to the tree-planting, they were given an introduction about Phase II and the upcoming projects in Hulhumalé.

The delegates are in Maldives following an invitation from the Maldivian Government, under the Maldives-India Friendship Youth Exchange Program. During their stay, they will learn about Maldives and will be exposed to the Maldivian lifestyle. In addition to this event , HDC  has more activities planned for them in the coming days.

The Maldives-India Friendship Youth Exchange Program is carried out under an MoU signed with the Maldivian and the Indian government last October.
